I used to like to debate the purpose of life. If you move beyond "God's Love" you can find some good common ground. I also like to debate with those who are trying to prove the Christ never existed, because there is plenty of non-biblical written evidence to support it. (Obviously, I can't prove He is the Son of God and ressurected.) But it's nice to feel right about that.

I like debating with them about anything because they usually just assume that all Christians are the same as what they see on tv, when in reality we all have our own beliefs about what the Bible is really saying and what God really wants from us. We aren't carbon copies of one another.

Everything has a LIFE SPAN - people, animals, plants, rocks, diamonds, dirt, gases, cells, molecules, the sun and moon, meteorites, comets, cosmic dust, etc.... Something always comes from something else. But where did the first "something" come from? Since "something" can't come from "nothing", then the first "something" had to come from the only source that doesn't have a life span: God.

    It's only logic.

By the way, abiogenesis is now a discredited theory which suggested that living organisms can arise spontaneously from inanimate matter. Now for a minute, let’s assume that abiogenesis is real and living organisms can come from inanimate matter. Where did the inanimate matter come from? Since inanimate matter also has a LIFE SPAN, and this "something" can't come from "nothing", then the first "something" had to come from the only source that doesn't have a life span: God.

    It’s logical and scientific.

    The dictionary:

    a⋅bi⋅o⋅gen⋅e⋅sis [ey-bahy-oh-jen-uh-sis, ab-ee-oh-]

–noun Biology. the now discredited theory that living organisms can arise spontaneously from inanimate matter; spontaneous generation

Debate is for atheists. If a christian says Hi to them, it is a debate.

I try to understand why some have an issue with MY faith.

Because, why have no faith? And it's usually the athiests who start the arguements first.

But seriously, why live life telling yourself, "nothing happens when you die." That's depressing, and faithless.

Also, have you ever heard of an Athiest food drive? What about the Athiest Charity for the Blind?

Christians don't debate, that would include having facts. They have faith instead.

    I dislike debating

I don't enjoy debate. It's like trying to describe color to a blind person. You either have spirituality or you don't .

I'll tell you what I love about debating with Theists.

I love how they like to try and stab at our beliefs by saying "oh, that doesn't make sense" and "you can't prove that, dur-hur."

And then we say those same things to Theists, but of course, in their world, those doubts aren't feasible.

    It's fascinating--the hypocrisy of religion.
