Have you ever had dry socket from smoking cigarettes after getting a tooth pulled?

I smoked when I had wisdom teeth pulled. Rinse the area with lukewarm water mixed with table salt for 30 seconds after you've had a ciggie and you'll be just fine.

I smoked five minutes after getting my wisdom teeth pulled. I never got dry socket. Dry socket is rare. It's like side effects posted on medications. you normally don't have any major ones. It's just a possibility.

So I got my wisdom teef pulled last year, and (shut it PCB) I smoke Marlboro Reds, and couldn't wait to have one either. I think I lasted about 4 hours and smoked a crapload.

Sooo.........yea that dry socket business? I wanted to rip my damn head off. I had to go back to the dentist 5 times to take care of the pain. It hurt so bad I cried all night for days.

I pull a tooth every time I watch Nascar to attempt to fit in. I also pretend to smoke marlbaro reds, but they are really candy cigarettes.

Wait at least til the bleeding stops but pull the filter out so you can lightly suck and still get the sane amount of smoke. Do not inhale hard if you wish to not pull the filter. Worked for all 3 of my teeth.

OMG, don't smoke!!! Dry socket hurts like a mother and then the dentist has to shoot this stinky clove water into your gaping tooth hole, and it hurts BAD and you will wish for sweet death.

Trust me. The cigarette is NOT worth it.

Pack it with gauze every time you light up. Besides, if you do get the dry socket, the dentist will give you really good pain pills.

Yes, I have and it does kill - worse than getting the stupid tooth pulled. Wait a few days.

just don't suck the smoke on that side, it causes the clot to come out, put your tongue on it.
