Barred from going to Heaven ?

If Christians believe that come the Day of Judgement, the dead shall rise from the grave, does that mean all those people who are cremated and as such, have no mortal remains to be resurrected are doomed?

before you answer bear this in mind: The Holy Catholic Church burned people at the stake not just to inflict the maximum pain etc but to destroy their physical body so they had no chance of being resurrected!!

Update:

To the Jesus is Lord guy - hate to tell you but Catholocism is a branch of Christianity - it just that they don't behave like they are.

Your answer about Jesus finding the molecules is one of the 'let's make it up as we go along because I haven't got a clue' answer Iam afraid - nice try though.

Update 2:

To Jesus Freak (?) Hmmmm! have you actually read the Bible or are you another person that makes it up as they go along? Try Revelation - It's at the back!!!

To the girl who says its the soul that is resurrected ...not so I am afraid ..you are making the mistake of reading things into the Bible that you feel should be there,. Read Revelation in depth and you will see that the message is very clear indeed..maybe you wont like it but it is there. Also check out the 144,000 figure!!!

Update 3:

Stuck in the HB - as an ex priest I do know as a matter of fact. I also know you are talking a load of claptrap that you have no doubt been spoon fed. Everyone thinks that Revelations is all about the Beast and 666 etc. It holds a much more deeper message for the world in general, one which you have not read or have misinterpreted. Read it for yourself.

Out of all the answers I have received to date the only one of any merit is the guy that simply said 'Oh ****'

There is no such thing as heaven or hell. There is an afterlife, but the reality is that the only concrete historic events of a religious nature that we have real hard proof of is the evil events carried out by organised religions throughout history - such as the Crusades, public stoning and other repulsive acts - for punishment for trivial things such as casual sex.

Religion is the only real evil that there is.

I truly believe in no religion what so ever, and the more you open your eyes and look at the bible, and all other religous books and literature, the more you can see how contradictory and unlikely the stories are, and just how many religions follow the same story structure.

I have studied the various Christian bibles in great depth for many years, and again and again keep coming back to the same informed, and sober conclusion - they are nothing more than literary hibrids, bought about to control mankind and prevent people from thinking outside of 'the box'.

Gen 3:19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

Let's believe God. He said that we will become dust again after we die.

Ur grave doesn't have to be a hole in the ground. It's wherever ur remains are. And if u were cremated & ur ashes were scattered, u have multiple graves.

If the creator, created from nothing. He took dirt and blew his spirit into it and it became man. Surely he can restore any life that he desires...

No part of this earthly body will be "recycled" into our heavenly bodies. It doesn't matter what happens to our earthly flesh after our spirit leaves it....it won't enter heaven. Our new, glorified bodies will be indestructible and immortal, therefore they can't rely on anything these earthen vessels have, since they are mortal.

just so you know.....the dead rose with Christ;for they had slumbered until his coming....and they rose with Him at the resurection.....and upon death you are restored to your perfect being..as you were before birth when you existed with GOD.....the question to answer is 'did the Catholics torture and burn innocents when they in fact, did not hold the priesthood......sounds like abomination.......re-read your Bible.....its there.....as for upon death....you rise to face judgement from God our father.....jesus.....in your spiritual body...and all its perfectness....

Scripturally, it means their souls. Perhaps wherever that person was at the moment of their death, their soul will appear.

    Another total myth.

Your body is not the one that goes with GOD, it is your soul.So it really doesn't matter if you were cremated or not.

where does it say that in the bible?
