Computer related prank. Please help?
I heard you can set an icon on the desktop so that if someone clicks on it, it will shut the computer off. Can someone please explain? Gotta get someone back!

It simply uses a dos command to shutdown your PC. This is a normal way of shutting a PC down, (windows uses it) and won't cause any harm. Here is a little guide.
1. Configuring a shortcut to shut down Windows.Right-click on your desktop and press "New..." and select "Shortcut". Where it says "Type Location", type shutdown -s -t 30 -c "Windows has encountered a system error, and must now shut down." Name the shortcut "Internet Explorer".It will now appear on the desktop.
2. Opening the properties. Right-click the icon and select "Properties"
3. Changing the icon. Click "Change Icon", and you should see a [Browse] button, click on that, and find your way to "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe". Double click on that and a list of icons will appear. Click on the Icon that looks like a Big blue "E" with a halo and click "OK".
Hope this helps.

To add to the above response. You could also create a scheduled task so this kicks off automatically....
Say everyday at 3:00 pm
