activate my SIM card HELP PLEASE?
i bought a t-mobile sim from off the street from someone. its called a burnout it was supose to last for a month and a half and when i put the sim card in i recieved a text message saying "your whenever minutes have been fefilled for use through 03-14-2009 but its only been like 2 weeks and one day i picked up my phone and it just said inactive sim.... do anyone have any answers for me

You might have been duped. Buying things like that off of the street is never a good idea for that very reason. He might have put another sim card in that was for another phone, and therefore, would not work with that one, or it could be a bad sim altogether, or he could have run up a bill so high on that one that they deactivated it. Just make sure that the sim card is inserted properly and then give it a try. The sim card can be tricky and won't work if it's not in the exact way it has to be. If nothing works, then you probably bought a worthless phone.

you can usually go to the kiosk in the mall and just ask for a free sim card , don't call t-mobil for one they will charge you $10.00 or more , then you call t-mobil and they can activate it over the phone , it takes a few min to connect , but a much better way to do it right . Sounds like the sim was from a pre-paid account and yeah you got duped . it happens to the best of us
