How do you do the science project with a bird that dips into a liquid and goes back and forth dipping each?

Demonstrate that it is powered by evaporate cooling by putting (with its water supply) in a box covered with saran, so you can watch it. Inject steam into the box (by putting the spout of a boiling teapot through a hole) or place a pan of very hot water inside the box, so that the relative humidity is pushed toward 100%. When dew starts forming on the saran, the bird should slow down dramatically because it can no longer cool its raised wet beak by evaporating water.
