Alot of people make that mistake!!! please don't! don't even use the saline, both methods are notorious for causing keloids or infection making the healing process longer. your best bet is dial soap. the salt and saline are great if it becomes infected but constant use of it will dry out the piercing and allow for infection or keloids as the piercing cracks.
p.s Salt causes drying, if you are washing it while in the shower only once a day with Dial you will do no harm. I see alot of people come in to my shop after a bad experience with the advice from their last piercer telling them salt and saline....

Sea salt and dial soap are the best. Salt dries your skin out though, but I've never gotten any keloids like the other poster said. I didn't use salt very much, primarily the dial soap.

Epsom salt is okay, but sea salt is best.
Dial soap will dry that thing out in a heartbeat, stay away from it.
