my speakers arent working.?

Speakers are very sensitive around the wires. Right now, i am using my old Dells desktop speakera on my Toshiba labtop for extra sound. Only the Left speaker works, because of the fact that it runs on electricity and it goes immediately into the computer. But the right speaker, the one without the speaker volumn knob, that speaker is hooked by one sensitive, thin wire. The wire will get pushed out or the wires could also be crossed, or the wire is bent inside it.
