An ISO is the complete bit by bit Image of CD/DVD data. It can be stored on Hard Drive as a file which can copy move delete etc etc. It can be used to burn a new CD / DVD by CD/DVD burning programs like Nero.
1) Mounting an image Its means By the help of a software your system creates a virtual CD /DVD Drive in Your "My Computer" You then mount an ISO file with the help of software to this virtual drive and then you can use it as it is a real CD/DVD drive in your system. The auto start programs will also run as like when you inserted the reel cd / dvd in real drive. I use this method to play playstation games on My PC by making an ISO image of the DVD and mounting the ISO file of the game in virtual DVD/CD drive. It speed up the loading process as data is read from hard drive rather than slow CD/DVD rom.

An ISO is an image of a file system, often the contents of a CD/DVD, even a bootable one. To mount an ISO means just that, to mount the image directly, or, the other option, burn (copy) the image to a CD/DVD.
You probably want to burn the ISO to a CD, and it should be inside the rar file after you unpack it. The extension may vary (*.iso would be a dead give-away), but just look for the BIG file. Most CD burning software has an option to burn an image to CD/DVD.

ISO is a digital version of a CD or DVD. So if you mount an ISO its like putting an imaginary DVD into your drive. Burning would mean making an ISO from a real DVD or CD

You can use this program to burn it to disc called BurnAware Free Edition available for free at http://www.download.com/BurnAware-Free/3000-2646_4...
If you are in a folder, switch to Detail view and click on File Type, if you don't see File Type in the column, you can right click on the columns and check mark File Type. Then sort the list of files by File Type and you should be able to find your ISO. Since you don't even know where it is, maybe you should search for it using the term .iso in the search box.
