chevy 1500 4.3 sensor help?
my truck died on road took it home put my code scanner on showed it was my MAP sensor pic up a new one cleared codes on comp installed still no fire re hooked up scanner and shows no codes at all any help??

i'm betting it's likely your ignition module,Look under the distributor cap.its a flat kind of deal with wires coming from it.That device is what gives your coil it's power.

If you cleared the codes, you won't pull another code for the sensor until you actually get the truck running (right now the MAP won't throw a code unless it was disconnected).
Have you checked for spark and fuel pressure?
Here's a quicky test - try to get it started by puffing a little starter fluid through the maf (don't do it through the air cleaner!). If it starts, then dies, you'll be able to narrow down your problem as a fuel related issue.
