can you get a reverse perm with dye on your hair?

i want to get my hair permanently straightened but i'm worried because i have a few small pink streaks and tips in my hair. i put the streaks in about 2-3 months ago and it's starting to grow out.

can i still get the reverse perm or do i have to wait untill there's no dye?

    you can still get it.

dont say i didnt warn ya, where the dye is is going to be fried.

your gonna need a weekly or twice weekly deep conditioner (leave in for half hour or so, and wash out) and an extra moisturizing shampoo and conditioner.

strengthening products work well too,... you could get a strengthening shampoo and a moisturizing conditioner, then for extra moisture get a leavei n conditioner.

try not to heat style too much (straightening, curling iron, blow dryer.)

it will only dry your hair out further.

You can do both. But make sure that you use a soft perm and maybe it will be best not to do it on the same day. Maybe dye it first then give it hydration and treatment for two days and then perm it.

  • ii don't think you can permanently straighten your hair. someone ii knew did that and there hair went back to normal within a few weeks. the pink streaks will eventually fade out don't worry

To be safe, wait until the dye is completely out of your hair, especially if your hair is thin. If it's thick and healthy then risk it.

Yes, you can do this. Just use a product for color treated hair. Follow the directions TO THE LETTER!

It's called relaxer and yes you can get it done with colored hair. My mother in law is a beautician and when my hair was really long I had her highlight it and straighten it.

As long as your hair is in good condition, it shouldn't be an issue. The hairstylist will be able to tell you more by looking at it. I think you will be fine.

Try to get a perm for bigger curls.
