I dislike the pick of Sanchez. Sanchez i think is over rated and i don't even beleive he is a first rounder really.... and im behind Luke McCown , He still has played well
As for him not having a job for 2 years look at kurt warner he didn't either he got pick from euro ball...

They have a lot of holes to fill suddenly and a new coaching staff with a totally new philosophy so the need for new personnel is great. As for their first pick....how do you feel about Mark Sanchez because if he is available (and right now it looks like he will slide that far) he will be the pick of the Bucs. They will look for a new identity and the QB seems like a good starting point to change the whole identity of Bucs football. I dont think anybody is really sold on McCown and the Winslow trade might have been a good indication they will focus on the offense.
As for how they will do, I am afraid it is a rebuilding year for Buc fans and wouldnt expect many wins, they still have some servicable defensive players so the focus will be on offense this offseason. They can grab a quality receiver in the 2nd or even 3rd round (WR is very deep this draft) but the QB position is very thin so either grab one early or hope McCown is the answer (he isnt....the guy was drafted in '04 and couldnt even find a job for 2 years before he signed with TB where he couldnt beat out Greise or Garcia).
Source(s): Keep in mind McCown couldnt beat out a sad sack group of QBs in Cleveland at the time. And Warner is a poor example...and here is why. McCown has virtually done nothing and Kurt was leading his WFL team to championships...i.e, he was playing a lot of football. As much as that seems to mean nothing the fact that he was playing and playing a lot and winning (even in the AFL) so there is no comparision. Like it or not the Bucs have implied they arent sold on McCown so they will be looking to draft a QB (it may or may not be Sanchez but dont be surprised when they call his name....the kid may not be liked because he was a USC product but he dominated the combine and made all the throws with zip and accuracy. Plus he proved to be a good character kid based on virtually every report coming out of the combine. - 1 decade ago
It looks like they are rebuilding, they don't have a QB or any WR's worth a damn and the only players good players they have on defense are old. They will be picking very high (single digit in the first round) in the draft for the next couple years. I think the reason they got rid of Gruden is because he wouldn't have went along with this. So they fire him and promote some coordinator to be there while they rebuild, if he does good than that's great but otherwise we'll hire a new coach in a couple years.

I hope we can win the division this year. I'm gonna say around 9-7/10-6 though. I hope they draft Percy Harvin. Doubtful that it'll still be a top 10 defense unfortunately.

Well their new TE will play about 7-8 games this Year, and they got rid of some real good players and a draft pick, messed with the present and gave away the future, yeah they should be fine

They will not be good in 09 to much change and there division is good. I think they will draft defense. The defense will not be top ten they lost kiffen, their leader brooks, and the offense will not be good.
