If I've blocked someone, and the 'blocked' sign still shows by their avatar, HOW are they still answering my?
posts??? I repeat: when they answer, the 'blocked' sign is STILL there!
Can anyone advise? Many thanks!

But no. Instead you prefer to behave like a five year old.

1) A glitch in the system has rendered the block useless
2) The have come on with another account

If the blocked sign is still there then they are getting round the block because of a Yahoo glitch.
If you are on Internet explorer all you need to do is load up another screen and then you wont be signed in on that. You click on the person who has blocked you questions and then when you press answer q sign in. Then you can answer the question as normal. Yahoo have been made aware of it but do nothing about it. It is however, a violation so you can report this person
If it was another ID with the same name, it wouldn't have the blocked sign beside it.
So basically blocking is useless, they can also report questions you have posted this way too

This is how they do it. They sign out, click "answer" log back in and post. They can't edit or see their answer afterwords though.
Some people always have multiple I.D.'s.
I know this because I blocked this very disgusting sexist person from the gender and women's studies. Not only does he still spam me, he also is suspended from Y!A. But he is still bloody here!
It annoys me, but there is nothing I can do. But if you really can rightly report, when you do you should explain to the Yamster what is going on.

There are many on here with multiple accounts,it is very dangerous to block people. If they see they cannot answer your question they will know you have blocked them, this is why they look for your answers and violate them and get their contacts to have a go at your posts. It is far better to just ignore pests and always violate them for abuse, bad language or insults.Criticism or disagreement is no cause for violation if it is polite and correctly observing the guidelines as an answer.

The first poster is right. I have been doing it for years.
And pertaining to your edit to Angel. Don't take it personal, it's all in good fun. It's fun to make those who block you think you have special powers.
But damn...now this kinda ruins it.
Thanks a lot.
Also I should add that this is the fastest way to get suspended if you do it to "Jayden's Mommy"..she gets kinda pissy about it.

It may take a while for the block to activate and kick in. It's happened to me. Eventually, the block should kick in and activate and this should stop.

I can see how it's done so I appreciate the answers

if you sign out, then click on the question that the person who's blocked you posted, then click answer question and log in, it lets you answer, so that's how they are doing it. Don't think you can stop it.
Source(s): tried and tested on someone who blocked me because I disagreed with them about an reality tv show, a lot of people do it. - Anonymous1 decade ago
Perhaps...
They have a Second Account with exactly the same Screen Name and Avatar... and they are using the second account to answer your Questions......
If I'm wrong then I'm sorry, but I think this is Possible to do....

I tried the trick earlier and it worked. How freaky is that? Of course you can't get in to delete it after, but oh well.
