We call them Jade plants. They're actually a succulent. I'm not exactly sure how they reproduce in the wild, but we have spread them along the back of the house through propagation By using cuttings from the original plant, just cut small stems off and place them into a bucket of water for a few weeks for them to grow roots, then plant them into the gound and water them daily till they take hold.
