If Hamas never fired another rocket again, would Israel still have justifiable reasons to attack?

If Arabs renounce terrorism, destroy their arms caches and cease rocket attacks, Israel has no reason to attack them.

The Arab countries has to accept Israel exists, and treat the Palestinians like other arabs. As it is now, they are held in poverty so everybody is to see how mean Israel is. But if you understand it's the Arab nations not accepting their loss - or "loss", Israel belonged to the jews before the arabs took it, so the arabs have just lost land they had stolen, like Spain was taken back from them- this will not work on you. Imaging all the arabs expelled from Spain living in eternal and miserable camps in the northern Morocco while everybody tried to make it look like the Spaniards was incredible evil to have retaken their land- it would have been the same thing. The only reason this is happening, is the Arab nations think they can convince the world into thinking Israel should be destroyed. The solution is to make the arabs accepting their loss, and accepting the palestinians into Saudi-Arabia, Jordan and Egypt as citizens. As it is now, there are laws against giving the palestinians citizenship in those countries, because it would harm their claim of getting "back" Palestine! So the arabs hates Israel more than they love their own people. No other tribe has ever treated their own people this bad.

If the arabs laid down their weapons, Israel would not want to attack- it would have meant peace. Of course, if Israel laid down their weapons, there would be no more Israel.

All i see are people with logical answers getting thumbs down and all those with thumbs up are just saying that the rockets are toys.

If the rockets are toys then why do they keep firing them and getting retaliation attacks from Israel into their own counrty killing their own people.

I have yet to see anyone coming up with any logical answer to this question.

Israel has said that the instance that Hamas stops firing rockets they would pull out of Gaza. As far as i'm concerned that puts all the fault into Hamas' hands. If anyone can give a logical answer to this then i will remove my post.

Israel pulled out of Gaza in August 2005 and gave it over to PA rule. This meant uprooting thousands of families who lived there for generations. They had schools, farms, businesses and synagogues adn they all left because Israel thought it would help bring peace to the region. They did not go back in there and hoped not to have to. When the Palestinians voted Hamas in as their government, Israel stepped back and said, we will not negotiate with terrorists whose charter calls for our destruction. They were not shooting anyone until after thousands of rockets.

that depends on when you start the clock... with the recent incursion do you start the clock when hamas fired a rocket? or do you start the clock when israel a week before cut off all entry and exit into gaza leaving them starving, no medicine no nothing, elderly people dying... or do we go 6 months back when Israel already was planning the very murderous incursion in the middle of a ceasefire negotions?

and no it has little to do with Hamas and more to do with jewish supremacism in wanting to craete a larger israel after 2000 years of persecution even if that means wiping out all arabs

How is it ever justifiable for Israel to attack? Firstly, forget that their opponants are Muslims (because as soon as Muslims are mentioned, the West automatically dubs them as the enemies) and consider what is involved here.

Israel "legally" stole the land of a country because they had nowhere else left to go after the Nazi's and had some sort of "claim" to this land because it was "supposedly" theirs thousands of years ago. So how is this justifiable at all? How can the West legalize the theft of land of another country just from supernatural/religious tales from thousands of years ago? Wouldn't you think that fighting for your land back after it was stolen is justifiable?

Now lets get back to whose land it was? MUSLIMS! Oh so now it IS justifiable. This world is ridiculous. And I'm not saying that everyone shares this view, you might think differently, but the majority of the world and especially the people with power in this world believe that.

Look at Bosnia for example, more than half of it now is "claimed" by Serbia and Croatia because Bosnians didn't deserve the land because they were Muslim and needed to be ethnically cleansed by the rape of 50 000 women and murder of 250 000 people in brutal ways. And what about now, after the war ended 14 years ago? The West has not helped Bosnia get back their land which IS legally supposed to be theirs. Why? Because nobody wants Muslims to have any claim to power, and if that means taking away their homes and lives, so be it. It's disgusting.

As soon as it comes to Muslims its like the theft of land is allowable. And in this case because it involves Jews, everyone allows it because no one wanted the problem coming the their land, thats why the US and the UK and the UN aided this theft of land, because they didn't want the problem on their land.

If rockets stopped being fired and Hamas changes their doctrine from the destruction of Israel to accepting a two state solution or Fatah regains control of the Gaza strip then Israel would not need to attack.

We must all protect the Palestinians from the jews.

We must win this war.

It's a war between good and evil.

let us be victorious and everyone will benefit from that. Even the jews themselves.

All Israel wants is to be left in peace. To take the palestinian land and cut of their electricity and water and close their borders, why cant we do that? Just leave us alone please. The palestinians are old fashioned and we as a modern and un-religious country should be able to do what we want. we are gods people and god will see to it that anybody who says NO to us will die. Because god loves Israel and he told us to murder anybody that dosnt. Anybody who dosnt like us killing them can go to hell and if you poke us (hamas rockets) we will rape your women, blow up your homes and send you running naked in the streets.

The question is if and if....All what Israel wants is peace and to be left alone, and that her country and citizens are safe, if thats the case with no terrorists attacks and no citizens of israel die as a result of terrorism, then Israel will never attack again,But in Israels short history this has never happenned, terrorist groups like Hamas want to destroy Israel and kill all her citizens, so Israel has not had ever a choice, but to defend herself. Remember Israel only responds to unprovoked terror rocket attacks from Hamas and other terrorist organizations.in Gaza against Israeli civilian populations

That is obvious. If Israel were not being attacked from the Gaza Strip and West Bank, Israel would have no reason for making attacks in these lands.

In fact. this is the only reason Israel has made any attacks. Their purpose is to protect themselves from terrorist attacks.
