Did I match these physics terms correctly?

-.- We have 7 pages of textbook questions to do for our unit review and obviously i can't make my teacher check all of my work (I'm probably the only person in my class that's going to work on these because I actually want a good mark on my test...). I really hate physics so here it goes:

3a) distance: length along a path.

b) velocity: displacement in a given time.

c) position: location relative to a reference point.

d) acceleration: change in velocity in a given time.

e) displacement: change in position.

f) speed: distance in a given time.

correct?

Update:

Oh did I not make my question clear enough? sorry! >.<

Okay in the textbook, those terms and definitions were given in a chart and it asked to match the terms with the proper definition.

And that was my answer that I typed out.

Edit, after you added additional information:

I know that you would prefer a simple yes or no answer but the answer needs to be rather more complicated.

Alas, if the book has only given you these choices, then the book is not quite correct. But given these choices, you have probably chosen correctly in each case.

However, the definition for speed, velocity and acceleration that you have given is actually the definition for the AVERAGE speed, velocity and acceleration, since it covers a longer period of time.

I would define velocity as displacement per unit time.

Acceleration as change in velocity per unit time and

Speed as distance per unit time.

You may want to ask your teacher to explain this further.

hi Nuff; i in my opinion experience, with actually no scientific info, that each and each selection we make daily provides an probability for an selection ( or parallel universe). I enroll in the Robert A. Heinlein concept, probably till now a while yet, a great fiction author. attempt "The style of The Beast" or "Stranger In a unusual Land"sturdy easy exciting reads. yet time is a severe concern, and one i'm afraid I even have very fastened notions upon. As i've got faith God created it,and holds it till, as you need to declare the time is powerful, and guy could desire to bypass forward purely, residing each and each 2d to the fullest, as there is no going returned. "The previous is background, the destiny a secret, we can purely stay in the now." yet to punch a hollow into an selection universe, will probably ensue at some point, what happens next? properly which would be an entire distinctive universe returned. LOL have exciting with this one! Bob
