exercise the calf muscles through weight training. hold weights in your hands and jump in reps of 10-20, and like sets of 8. but don't let your heels touch the ground while in the middle of a set. when you have done this for a week or two you will begin to notice that you can do a standing jump much higher than before

On the off chance that you would like to know how to hop higher, here is vertical hop preparing 101. A vertical bounce is fundamentally a mix of relative force and development proficiency. Relative force is the amount power you can create with respect to the extent to which you weigh. Force is a combination of speed and strength. As far as preparing to bounce higher, quality is created most effectively in the weight room. The rate part originates from the genuine hopping drills and plyometric activities. Well I think if you're better at the long jump you should do it. I think eventually you'll really like it as much as the high the jump because you'll be good at it. That long jump length was amazing! Good luck in whatever you decide. I'd prefer the long jump myself.

Do alot of squats and jump rope and practice jumping the rope through 2 revolutions of the rope eventually 3 and so on.
Do jumping jacks and jogging helps too.
I dont think weight training will help much you need to do activities which include jumping in my opinion. Weights will make you stronger but some good basic exercises will help boost your energy levels and i think that will best help you with jumping :)
