I have pork chops and a can of French Onion soup, what can I make with that for dinner?

I have 4 really nice thick pork chops I bought yesterday from the local farmer's market, and I love condensed Campbell's French Onion soup with my pork roast. I do not want to use my crockpot. I was thinking about searing the pork on both sides then letting it simmer in the French Onion soup, but I just wanted to see what my fellow posters can come up with. Also, I would like a new veggie side dish to go with the pork too. We like all veggies so be as creative as you want :o)

It is TOO freaking funny that you should have posted this question; I literally just served up my "world-famous" pork chops for some buddies the other evening. Main ingredients: pork chops and Campbell's French Onion Soup!!!!! Soooo funny! :-)

Anywho, it's super duper easy, so pay CLOSE attention! LOL

Take those pork chops and lightly pan fry in some EVOO for approximately 1 minute per side; dunk the chops immediately into the soup (which, by the way, I prefer to keep condensed and do not dilute with milk and/or water). Let it soak in the French Onion soup for at LEAST 15 minutes. Oddly enough, if it's warm and sunny outside I do find that setting it out there to marinate works wonders (an old tip from my grammy, LOL)

After letting it sit (preferably) in the sun, take the chops out and lay them in a glass dish. Cover them with the remaining french onion soup then cover with tinfoil. Cook at 475 degrees for 35 minutes; then broil for 10.

Add salt & pepper to taste and enjoy.

    You're welcome,

    Bosco

Put the Pork Chops in a baking dish, pour the soup over them, cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees. Time depends on how thick they are. You can use a meat thermometer to check them.

    Sugar Snap Peas w/ Mint

    2 teaspoons olive oil

3/4 pound sugar snap peas, trimmed

    3 green onions, chopped

    1 clove garlic, chopped

    1/8 teaspoon salt

    1/8 teaspoon pepper

    1 tablespoon chopped fresh mint

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sugar snap peas, green onion, and garlic. Season with salt and pepper. Stir-fry for 4 minutes, then remove from heat and stir in the mint leaves.

Make some rice to go with it. Thicken the left over soup and use as gravy for the rice

I just did the same thing. Only I used a sloppy joe mix on mine since I didn't have any bar b que sauce. Then we had a baked potato and peas. I didn't hear any complaints.
