Why would Rick care what Kyle is doing?

He's got Jeff and JJ winning races and Championships.

Jr. has the money rolling in.

    Rick Hendrick has it made!

I don't think Kyle would have become the shining star he is now if he'd stayed with Hendrick. I think Joe Gibbs really knows how to develop talent, and he didn't let Kyle's immaturity get in the way. The kid was going to grow up in time, and Joe helped that process. Kyle is also getting better equipment at Gibbs rather than the hand me downs he got at HMS.

Bottom line, this turned out far better for Kyle.

You know the thought goes through Rick Hendrick's mind on a regular basis. But Kyle just never seemed to gel at Hendrick. Getting picked up by Gibbs was probably the best thing for Kyle. I don't know if it was him getting fire that lit a fire under him, or if Gibbs just gave him the equipment to work with, but something brought out a lot more maturity and motivation in the kid. At the same time, I do believe that Hendrick was giving the best equipment he had to Gordon and Johnson(rightfully so), and then to Earnhart when he came on board. Notice how late last season Johnson came alive and Jr went from a consistent top 5 to lucky to get in the top 10. I think when Jr didn't win, Hendrick focused his attention on his defending champion instead of the flash in the pan t-shirt saleman.

How or why would this piss anyone off???? I'm sure Hendrick wonders every day (especially days like today haha) if he should've kept him.

I seriously doubt it, I'm sure you will never know how much more Hendrick makes now as to when they had Kyle.

NASCAR is a business and Hendrick is still wining championships. I doubt Hendrick would do anything differently. Rick Hendrick and the "new guy' on the team know what it's like to lose family members, they are friends and share a bond, I think that's awesome.

Why would he? Decisions have to be made. Owning a NASCAR team is big corporate business. No one except the parties involved know what actually happened for Kyle to leave.

No.. He wasn't a team player, and wrecked way too many cars..

Before the time he left the track, and Jr subbed for him, Rick Hendrick

had already said that he wouldn't be interested in Jr, because he "had four drivers under contract"..

I think Kyle pissed him off..

He might but, honestly, the chemistry just wasn't there. Kyle fits well where he is at now.
