So, you are snowbound and have no electricity right now then, isn't the "Big Storm" pounding you guys? That would be a memorable birthday wouldn't it :D
Congrats on your baby BTW!
I have several ideas "corny and cute" to "Deluxe style". You could set up party decorations like it is a first (baby) birthday and "practice" for when your little one arrives? Or you could do a "Drive in movie" if you have a van or SUV. We take the van seats out, plug in the portable TV/VCR, make popcorn, nachos, soda (Or in your case a birthday cake), pile in warm blankets to snuggle in, pop in an old favorite movie and enjoy. The first time we did this we had no power and the kids were bored. We had an adult, two older teenagers and a 10 year old and we ALL had a great time, now we do it to wash away the "drabby" days in mid-winter.
Or you could order out from a couple of restaurants and have a "progressive" dinner at your house. Drinks in the kitchen, salad in the living room, entree in the dinning room, dessert in bed!
