Greggs bakeries? I pass a Greggs just before they close at 6pm and they always have loads of pasties but...?
what do they do with them at 6? I'm presuming they don't reheat them the next day? Do they just throw them out?

When I was a kid and my dad had to spend a year on the dole, he came home one night with a whole bag of cream cakes and doughnuts from the bakers. A pal who worked there gave it to him as a treat for us. I have to say it was the highlight of that year.
I think they usually bin it all. It's a total waste.

They wont be able to reheat them, what doesn`t get taken by the staff will be thrown away, yes it is a waste of good food but it`s all calculated into their loss sheets, you`ll probably find a big wheelie bin at the back full of perfectly good food,

They chuck them out! That includes all the cakes and bread too! I wanted to take loads of stuff home but they say that's stealing...I think it's a crime to waste so much food!
Source(s): worked at Greggs for about a month when I was 16 :os
