16mo old walks around and around :-)?

just curious. my 16mo old walks in circles. sometimes, she barrels towards people-- leaning forward with head down. other times, she would walk with her head tilted back. all curious walking forms done when she's happy :-). and she laughs out loud and shrieks after spinning or when she finally wraps herself around legs. was wondering if there was a "scientific" explanation for these walking behaviors or is it just "something babies do."

do other babies do this?

Update:

i'm not worries. just curious about why babies do this. it's quite fun to watch :-)

it sounds like she is just seeking sensory input. My 3 year old tends to be a "sensory seeker" and does things like spin in circles until he gets dizzy, and fall backwards on my waterbed. as long as she is not showing any other disturbing "quirks" I would not worry about it right now. For the "scientific" part, read a book called "the out of sync child"...it was a real eye opener for me.
