Ever had the feeling of being watched?

So last night Im cleaning my house and I get the unmistakable feeling of being watched. I kind of dismissed it at first but it was just get worse and worse. When I sat down to take a break I had to sit in the floor where you couldnt see me from looking in at any angle. I started to vaccum and it got so bad I stopped after about 30 seconds and was literally shaking I was so freaked out. I ended up having to call my upstairs neighbors to see if I could come up with them until my husband got home from work. By the time I got up there I was shaking and crying to bad I couldnt speak. The feeling was SO overwhelming. I am not the type to freak out easily or scare easily. Im home almost everyday alone until well after dark and never had this feeling before. I wasnt watching anything scary on TV, my dogs had been sleeping and not making unusual noices or pacing or anything. Theres nothing that wouldve set this feeling off that I can think of. Have you ever had this? What causes it? Please dont call me a paranoid freak or schitzo. I dont want to be ridiculed, just given some insight. Thanks for reading!

There actually could be something to it. You have sensory detectors built in. Most of the time you should follow your instinct. If you felt like you were being watched to that extent that you got so upset, then maybe you really were being watched. I have had this, but I also had a stalker who was trying to break into my house on several different occasions. I even woke up at 3am to find him outside my window trying to get into my house! I always had this feeling that I was being watched too. Turns out I was. Next time you get this feeling, look around, see if you see anything suspicious. If so, then call 911. It's better to be safe than sorry. Your subconscious is warning you.

    Feeling Of Being Watched

There may be something to this feeling of being watched although it is hard to say how accurate the feeling is. In college, I would have automatically dismissed such feelings however as I have gotten older and learned more about the world around me, I no longer automatically dismiss such feelings. My cat has recently gone completely deaf, but she can still sense when I have come home...I am pretty sure she smells me arriving. She will be completely asleep when I arrive home, I will slam the door but the sound doesn't stir her. Within a minute or two though, she wakes up. Detecting a strange smell could trigger this defensive reaction. You very well could have picked up on a strange smell in your home (an intruder). I have spoken with a Navy Seal who once spent about 3 months alone behind enemy lines in Vietnam. He said that he became much more attuned to his sense of smell when he was in the jungle and that he could sometimes sense the enemy several hundred yards away. The brain, upon sensing a foreign smell, may trigger an electrical impulse that sends the body into search mode. All of your senses become focused on finding out where the "predator" is. When I get this feeling of being watched, I feel a surge of energy throughout my body...and it feels as if I am either being pushed or pulled by some mysterious energy. This push or pull is often oriented in the direction of where I think a threat is. It is as if my body is a compass needle and I am aligning with the "push" or "pull". Some people have tried to demoralize me by saying I am psychotic but I don't think there is anything "psychotic" about it. Geese are known to navigate by the earth's magnetic field. Newly hatched monarch butterflies can find their way to the same place in Mexico from Canada even if researchers intercept them half way on their journey and move them off their original course. Clearly something inside these butterflies is hardwired to head south. Sharks can sense the electrical fields of smaller fish. Electric eels can generate a powerful electric current....and fireflies can generate light upon command. All of these phenomena in nature point to something common to all living things. Energy harnessed by life. So whether you are sensing a smell and "having a nervous, defensive reaction" or you are picking up on another life form's electrical field as it moves nearby (like a magnet sensing another magnet), I don't think you should fear your instincts, but I don't think it would hurt you to pay attention to these feelings. If your eyes tell you you are wrong about being watched, that doesn't mean you have hallucinated. Your other senses may be validating your feelings...but we are much more dismissive of our other senses than animals are.

Yes I have had that feeling. Sometimes I see things out of the corner of my eye too. Freaky.

Recently, my wife has been finding corn in her shoes. No lie. It happened again today. Freaked her out. The first time was on Christmas Eve. She tried to blame me but I was as surprised as her. It cannot be a mouse, there are not droppings anywhere in sight.

Tried to google to see the meaning of corn in your shoes to no avail. It just plain freaky and weird.

Some weird things are in the air now.

of course you're not a freak or mentally ill. my best advice to you is trust your instincts. maybe you were walking to the store or driving home and someone triggered that. just lock all the doors, and keep the phone by you in case anything happens. no guarantees it will, but it's never TOO much for a woman to be careful..

I am a big beleiver of trusting your insticts....Back in the day (Way back) humans just like animals had nothing but instict to go on. Now people dont go on instinct anymore. Like my mom....she gets a really bad ringing in her ear right before an earthquake hits anywhere in the world.

Anywho moral of the story, trust your instincts.....

authentic tale: I had a neighbor who has considering that moved that ought to attempt to peek in my domicile windows for all time from interior her domicile. She could desire to have had a pair of binoculars. She became youthful and beautiful so I permit her. It did no longer incredibly trouble me aside from the lengths that she could bypass to peek at me so i could purposely bypass away my curtains returned and blinds cracked somewhat. All she had to do became to knock on my front door. So, Rachel, in case you spot this, i comprehend what you have been doing...

Happens to me sometimes too. I'll be lay in bed and you feel something piercing you're aura. Its like someone has got their hand right next to your head. But yeah, it does freak you out. Could be your imagination, could be insecurity, could be aliens. Could be anything. But its probably you're instincts like the other woman said.

This happens to everyone at one point in their life. It happens to me sometimes when I am alone, and watching TV at night. It is nothing to worry about, you just need to get to the point where you are comfortable by yourself.

All signs point to a paranoia disorder. However, you seem to be able to pick the situation apart logically so it can't be that severe.
