    The process is cellular respiration.

    It makes energy for humans/animals out of food and oxygen.

    In photo..., it uses energy and CO2 to make food.

    Photosynthesis allows algae and other green plants to manufacture their own food out of simple inorganic materials. Animals do not have this ability. They must consume complex organic materials as food.
