How many people was in attendance at President Obama's address to Congress?
I am doing a news article on Barack's address to Congress. I need to know how many people were there. I know that congress, his wife, and a few others were there..but how do I word it? hmmmmm?

I haven't seen a full count anywhere. Of the groups represented: the House has 435 members, the Senate has 99, the Supreme Court has 9, and he has about 20 or so Cabinet-level appointees that would have been invited. A fair number of those probably didn't make the speech, but you'd add in a good number of special guests, plus the press. My guess is around 600 people.
