Yahoo Answers Account Suspended?

Has anyone been suspended, and then had their account re-instated? I've emailed them 3 times already, never get a response so what am I to do? I was Level 6 and had been on here for well over 18 months.

Has anyone ever had a reply from them?

I was suspended at the 7th level, I appealed, but no dice so I started all over again.

I've had my account "suspended". I mean deleted (maybe).

My 360, my email, my IM, my Yahoo! Answers, and my own "page" got suspended.

I know who got me suspended, and I know why. I was too young, though I actually wasn't.

My old account I shared with my 11 year old friend. She was almost 12 and told everybody so! I was 13, and still am. Anyway, one user didn't like it and repeatedly reported me because I was too young. They also thought I had wrong information ALL the time because of one question. I was level 4, Top Contributor.

Then, to top it all off this persons other account or "friend" answered my old accounts still open question and insulted me while getting best answer!

Well, I didn't appeal, I didn't know how. It said "you need a code" or something like that and I had no idea WHAT code.

Anyway, I haven't had a reply from them, and I don't know who Jilibean is. lol.

Oh, and always hide your contacts, and Q/A. Make another email account so if you "forget" your account ID or Password they can send it to you. Also, write it down. That way you can tell if it was deleted, or you just forgot.

This is my third or fourth 'identity' I was also nearly a level seven when my first account got suspended. The only replies I ever got to my emails were the generic ones, they are not interested in listening to reasonable appeals.

I have to be completely honest with you...if your account got suspended, you violated in a major way.

Yahoo is too busy with everything else to worry about trying to read the appeals of every single violator who gets their account suspended. People just need to be more accountable for their actions. If you get your own account suspended, then you have to suffer the consequences (which is having to start all over again).

There are Yahoo personnel who watch these boards all day, so they see the stuff that people put up here, and if you did something worth getting suspended over, then that's it.

To my knowledge, they've never re-instated a suspended account without really good reason to. In fact, if your Yahoo Answers account wasn't shared with your yahoo mail account, they'd call terminate your account all together.

It can take up to a week or more to get a response.

I know of someone who has lost their account 3 times and got it reinstated 3 times, so give it a bit more time it is still possible to get it back, just keep appealing. Goodluck.

I was suspended on 2/13/08 and I had to fight for 10 days to get reinstated, but not until I posted to the forum. Do NOT use the appeal team, as they don;t care. Speak to the staff instead (y_answrs_team@yahoo.com)

Nationalsocialists. YA is becoming an Orwellian Dystopia, soon I shall leave and only return when inebriated to cause mayhem and others to cover their eyes while I cut a bloody swathe through the Answers community! Huzzah!!

You have to appeal immediately. Get a reason for the suspension and give evidence as to why the suspension was "in error"; otherwise, that account is dead to you forever

    Appeal all you want.

It goes into the recycle bin and forces an auto response.

Just start asking questions about the yamster and assk mike.... that'll draw some attention!
