Anyone work for Greggs the bakers?

Question

I walk past a Greggs shop about 5:45 pm and there always seems to be loads of "freshly cooked" pasties left. What happens to them? I think the shop closes at 6.
Surely they don't just throw them away? Surely they don't reheat them the next day?

No, Sweetmans me , We throw them on the floor & play "guess the filling" before repairing them & putting them back on display for sale the next 3 days

All the unsold baked foods get thrown away at the end of the day. Employees at the shop are not allowed to take them home.

To be honest i think it's shameful to throw away loads of good food every day. Why not give it to a homeless shelter or let the employees take home the spare food?

well, when i past by my local greggs today at 5pm-ish there werent any pasties left OR cookies. Just a few yum yums and muffins.

they wouldnt do that..right?

They probably take them home and eat them, have u seen the size of the guys who work in greggs...whoa mamma! lol jokes!

well my sister used to work in dorringtons and any pastries let at the end of the day she could bring home for us :D

they get recorded and wasted, they are not permitted to re heat cooked foods. the staff are not allowed to bring them home either.
