CrazyH and Beecher - If you have DSL hookup (not dialup) somewhere near your computer there is a small usually black box router about 5" wide, 4" deep and about 1" high. It plugs into a filter which plugs into the phone jack. The filter has a place for your phone to plug in and one for your computer modem chord. That way you can be on line and still get phone calls. For whatever reason every now and then if you have trouble getting on line you can pull out the round plug (power chord) for about 20 to 50 seconds then plug it back in. The lights on the front will come back on. When they are lit and steady (not blinking or flashing) which may take a couple of minutes you should be able to get on line. Got the info from our tech support from our provider. It will only help if the problem is at your end. Let me know if it helps.
