Am i the only one who thinks 45 million is just to much to pay a sport celebrity in 2009?

Yeah I hate it, but then pretty much half of that goes to the government for taxes, unless they can write it off by investing.

But with the economy the way it is, I don't see that happening.

If you're talking about Manny Ramirez signing with the Dodgers, he;s only making $25 million this year. It was a two year contract for $45 million. Not that $25 million isn't obscene.

I agree completely - the saddest part is that these overpaid celebrities donate such small amounts of their money to charities when they could easily live comfortably on 1/4 of their salary. 45 million is just disgusting.

I totally agree with you! but there is also a guy that just got paid 100 million!! it's truly sad

yea but out of six billion people only ONE can do amazing things on the field, so they deserve all their reward for their hard work and talent

I will say, we are hungry, everywhere in this country, growing up people, that forgot how to be kids...
