like it or not, we have to bail out AIG. If we left them to flounder the entire economy in our country and others would suffer even more. Should they have insured these sub primes in the first place? no. however, it is the nature of free market economics that greed will have its say in whatever gets done. americans must now face the decision to have government agencies regulate wall street and tighten the free market (sacrificing some ideals this country was built on), or leave it the way it is and in 50 years we will have this conversation again.
