I need camera opinions?

I'm looking to buy a new camera this summer but not sure what model..

I want one with good quality and a fast shutter, also just one with a lot of creative options for my pictures? I don't have a bunch of money to spend so I'll need some cheap options!

Thanks soo much!

Many Canon cameras have a great in-camera editing software, such as the ability to "selective B&W", where you get to make everything black and white and leave something in the photo of your choice still in colour. An admittedly overated style especially on social networking websites, but fun and useful nonetheless. Look into Canon's SD series. They may not look the best of the best, but image quality is pretty much the best you can get for any pri ce.

Well, it looks like you've already started a list of features you want in a camera. The other questions you may want to think about is how often you'll be using the camera, how portable you'll require and what types of shots you'll be taking.

Point and Shoot - Are like the old Instamatics, everything is automatic (focus, the ISO rate, etc). Very little interaction is needed on the users part. Most of them will fit in your pocket and pretty much ready at a moments notice.

Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) - Similar to the more expensive 35mm film cameras, it can be set to auto focus and such, Lens can be changed as needed (Macro shots - really close up pictures, Telephoto - for long distance shots).

Since money is the way it is today a lot of people buy the camera's with the disposable batteries, which is something you want to avoid. Get the rechargeable battery, it makes life so much easier. Cannon and Olympus are my personal favorite brands of camera's. Good luck!
