Trust me, there's nothing to be embarrassed about! Every girl has her period. Your mom will be understanding! If you're 13, you're in grade 8, right? Trust me, most if not all the girls in your class have gotten their period. They just usually don't feel comfortable talking about (understandable, of course). If you really don't want your mom to tell your friends, just tell her you really don't want them to know. She'll understand.

Oh, and she probably knows, anyway. Trust me, moms always seem to know. :S haha

Why would you be embarrassed? It's so completely normal, and natural, and it confuses me why people can be so mortally embarrassed about it. I'm 13, not embarrassed at all, and actually loving it.

Maybe try to give her a subtle hint? Or something? I found it hard to tell my mom too, but she just sorta like found out, so I'm really sorry I don't have anything better to offer.

After you tell her, simply ask her not to tell anyone because you would be embarrassed by it. Tell her you've had it for a while and didn't want to tell her...and why. I'm sure she'll understand...she was you're age once herself remember.

just tell her dont worry every girl has to go through it. and when you tell her just be sure to tell her that you really dont want people to know she's your mom she will understand
