How do I keep my PS3 from collecting dust like my old first gen model of the ps2?

Question

I smoke and when I had my ps2 (big one) it would collect dust from the nicotine. I just bought my ps3 yesterday, so how do i prevent it from doing the same as my ps2? and fyi; ive gone through about 9 ps2s, and my current ps2 is the slim model which i havn't had any problems with yet. and please don't say 'quit smoking.' because i will soon just not right away.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

I smoke 2. (same prob). first keep ur ps3 clean wipe it down every week then keep ur ps3 in a nice ventilated area. Make sure it has space lots of space so it can breathe..lol No for real. when u smoke smoke in another room, if u cant resist then do what u do but is'nt it kinda hard to play and smoke? lol

do not smoke in the same room as it because the fan can get clogged ad stuck with that dust, and if the fan stops working the plastic shell of the ps3 will melt and so will the components inside, if it is on long enough (8 hours i think) 

p.s make sure it is in a well ventilated area aswell

dont smoke when you are playin, that cant be to hard... and if you need a smoke just take a break away from the ps3 and wash your hands... if you enjoy to smoke while you playing, then get a ps3 case for it

do what i do.. smoke outside or.. have a fan by the ps3 to blow the smoke away from the vents
