Does it make a difference in life if you graduated from university compared to technologyInstitute/polytechnic?

    No. Just get an education. People with Bachelor's degrees (BA, BS, BSE, BSEd, BFA, etc) are better employed (half the unemployed rate) than those without. It doesn't matter as much if you do it at Harvard, or Georgia Tech, Towson or University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. But, if you don't get a Bachelor's the next best thing is a 2 year diploma in a technical field. (Plumbing, Electrician, Carpentry, etc) There are jobs out there to get. Decent paying, union jobs.
