When will my Jack Russell Terrier go into heat?

From 6 months to a year old is usually when a ***** will go into heat.

heat cycle can happen anywhere from 6 months and on.. some dogs dont start until after their first year.

Its possible she also may have had a silent heat and you didnt know it.. with a silent heat there is no swelling or discharge, the only indication may be that males are showing a strong interest in the dog.

Honestly, I dont care if you give me a thumbs down for mentioning spay.. but if you do spay her, you wont have to worry about a heat cycle. Spaying also prevents certain types of cancers and deadly uterine infections.. if she's had a silent heat, she is at an increased risk for uterine infections.

Probably any time now unless she has been "fixed". If she came from a shelter she has most likely been spayed. If she hasn't it would be a good idea to have her spayed. There are many dogs and cats that are destroyed because there are more of them than there are homes and human companions for them.

well i was told by my vets a ***** can go into heat as young as 6 months however it was more likely she would come into heat later, our girl is 9 months and has only come into heat, so don't worry, go and have a chat with your vets but im sure it's on it's way ;)

Why haven't you spayed her yet? If she isn't in heat yet, now would be the perfect time! Especially with a mixed breed, I certainly hope you weren't planning on breeding her.

if she isnt in heat.. you should spay her right away so you & your dog dont have to deal with the mess. when my dog got in her first heat omg, it was sooo bad she went all over the carpet my couch!! i wass soo mad i had to take her to tthe vet to get her spayyeddd...:)
