Like where do you go, the doctor or someone else. And how can they help?

Most of the time, your GP will be able to help you if you tell him/her you feel depressed. Your GP will probably prescribe some relatively common anti-depressant for you to try.
If what you try still doesn't work, your GP may send you on to a specialist for further evaluation.
Hey, you --- DON'T get stuck staying depressed all the time. It's too easy these days to get help for something like that. Also, lots of things can make you feel depressed. Try to eliminate some of those things! GP's generally don't bother figuring out the underlying causes, but you may know of something that just isn't working that you could fix to make yourself feel a bit better. Finally, don't rule out exercise. I know -- it's a pain in the butt. But it does make you feel better. Honestly.

You should go visit your doctor, straightaway.
You can find some of the symptoms, plus a short video, on the site below which may help you to check out your symptoms.
The key to any cure is to find the root causes and then work on getting rid of those - any medication can only ever treat the physical symptoms, never the cause - that is where that site may help again.
But first - go see the doc - he is the first port of call - he will advise from thereon - best of luck.

Start with the GP, try and get a counsellor. The NHS takes a long time if you are an adult to get you with a psych or any mental health worker so try and get counselling yourself, there are plenty of charity organisations. Mind is particularly good and you can see there website. http://www.mind.org.uk/
The GP will probably start you on a course of medication if they believe you have depression and get in contact with a mental health worker if they believe you need it.
A counsellor will use therapy to outlet your problems through talking them through. They may work with you to change thinking and actions in order to help your mental health.

You can see your doc if that is what you want to do...
Change your diet, exercise more (the best antidepressant there is!), have your doc check your thyroid with a simple blood test, and your hormonal balance (fluctuating and imbalances cause depression) Here is also a free resource you may like to try , it works

You go to your doctor and they will maybe refer you to someone else or give you tablets to help make you feel better.

Some people find it helpful to go to the doctor and they can either refer you to a councellor or psychotherapist or they can give you medication.
Neither helped me, but everyone is different

You go and see your doctor and he/she will normally give you an anti-depressant
