    Yes we are. And hopefully it doesn't get as bad as the mid 1900's. I'm not sure exactly when it started (been out of history too long) but I'm thinking it was 1939. Maybe it has something to do with the number 9. 1939>2009. Only joking.

    in words of only one syllable: YES, YES, and YES. I guess that was the "change we were told we could believe in"--change from your dollar after paying even higher taxes. Don't believe the lies about only those making over 250,000, etc. The new Cigarette tax, effective March 31, 2009 will be paid by the POOREST of smokers, as well as the rich.

    I think we are. The slogan should have been "Change You Won't Have" instead of "Change You Can Believe In". It's going to be a rough road ahead...
