Why do people pay more for something on e-bay than what it would cost to just go to the store and buy it?
Seriously, I see people paying way more for stuff than what Wal-Mart or Best Buy charges for the same item. Why is this? I find it hard to believe that people are so dumb that they want to waste money in this manner.

Not all Walmart's have the same items, and not everyone is near a Best Buy or similar store. Some people don't have vehicles so they need to have things delivered. Some people just don't do the research they should before buying.

What is it that you are talking about? if it is an iPhone 3G those go for $500+ because they have no contract with AT&T
