Whats a good router to get a STRONG wireless signal from my modem?

Okay, so what's a good router to get a strong wireless signal. My modem is a Actiontec M1000. The modem is in my room and i want the signal to reach the living room, it's about 45 feet from my room. It's a one floor house so no up stair's, it's for my PS3 online gaming and networking(in case your wondering).

Would really appreciate some links to see detail's.

Thanks......

Linksys is the best brand I know of, but a bit pricey. Netgear has done me well. D-Link equipment has failed on me. My Microsoft router always times out for no reason, but it's kind of old and I got it used.

I give a little bit of weight to products that say "range boost", but my technical knowledge tells me that it's a gimmick. I would, however, definitely consider a Wi-Fi router that actually has 2 little antennas on it for superior signal strength.

802.11n is the latest technology, so you can try that- it's 10x faster than the 802.11g specification, and the range is vastly improved. 802.11g is my general recommendation for you. 802.11b should work just fine too, honestly, so if that helps save a few bucks that you need then I'd go that route (no pun intended). If your internet connection is faster than 10Mbps then I would strongly recommend at least 802.11g.

    happy gaming,
