Hair cut looks terrible...can I get my money back?

I got my hair cut at this new place today...It wasnt what i asked for but still gave a pretty good tip ($5). And thanx to my "great" friends let me know all day, how much it looked terrible on me and didnt like it. What I want to know is since I left the place in decent sprits, can I go back and complain? Can i get a refund? Will they fix it, for free?

If you don't like your haircut, they should fix it for free, regardless of your mood upon leaving. It's good business ethics. If they don't fix it, let them know you will no longer be coming to that salon, and will not be recommending it to anyone. Right now with the economy being bad, that will hit them pretty hard.

    Two things to remember.

    1) They don't have to give your money back.

    2) The only way to get it back is if they want to give it back.

My approach would be non-hostile and honest.

Go in and say that you liked coming in to their shop and all but after you got home and had time to get used to the hair cut you really weren't happy with it. Ask if their is anything they can do about it.

If they are interested in building a new relationship and get your business over the long term then they might take another shot at it.

If they say no just shrug it off and go get a new hair cut at another spot. Don't lose sleep over it.

They most likey will try to fix it, and keep you happy w/o charging you again, but you won't get the tip back!

Think about it, do you really want the same person that screwed up your hair trying to fix it? If you go to another person in the same salon, they will want paid.

Your best bet is to call the manager, and tell them exactly what happened, and let them know that you are unhappy with your haircut. See if she will do your hair, instead of the original person, so that you won't get charged again.

Good luck and don't worry too much, your hair will grow back soon enough.

You can't sue or get your money back, BUT you can go back and ask for the manager. Tell her you are so unhappy with the cut and you would like it fixed....Usually the manager will not charge you as they don't want you giving them a bad name. Be polite, but ask for the manager. those hair cuts are kinda boring (and not scene, by using the way). maybe get shorter layers and cause them to truly textured. they could look truly reliable in the event that they have been extra razored. Yeah they could look ok i assume.
