Biology Question- what does the liver do for the excretory system?

eh this project is due tomorrow and i need this answer =)

    In short, the blood is purified in the liver. Toxins etc are removed here, then are transported to the kidneys for excretion.

    This goes a bit too far back in my memory to give an in-depth answer, sorry, but it definately plays a big role in the excretory system.

    P.S: In the digestive system, it produces bile - which is used to break down fat.
