    An electron has a charge q = -1.6 x 10^ -19 C.

    Voltage is defined as the electric potential energy per charge

    V = PE/q.

    Therefore, PE = Vq. This energy is converted to KE as it accelerates.

    KE = Vq = 23,000*(1.6 x 10^ -19)

    KE = 3.68 x 10^ -15 J
