as cm punk has lost the ic title what is his future?

This is hard to come up with a scenario for him because it seems as if he is now out of the picture for each division. Depending on how the draft goes (as in who is in which brand), I think that will determine where he is. I personally think he will stay at the mid card scene for awhile and breakthrough the main event picture in the soon future. Going back to the brand topic, if he is in a brand where Edge is (let's say he retains), he will most likely become part of the main event along side with Edge. CM Punk can't be in a roster with the main event clustered because if he was, he won't be in the main event because of the talent like John Cena or Batista in the spotlight.

As I stated first, I do personally think a small mid card run will help him out for a bit longer. Then explode into the main event scene. If the WWE wanted to progress him into the main event quicker and effective, then a heel turn will suit best for him. As turning alignment has boosted many stars like Randy Orton, Edge, John Cena and so on.

my personal opinion on Punk is this-

i think they had him drop the IC title so he could win the MITB a second time, maybe he might not win it at wrestlemania, maybe hel win it afterward against the winner but i guarantee they wouldnt have had him lose the IC title which he spent a month trying claw from regal, to bloody JBL who he has apsolutely no feud with or anything whatsoever. IC champions have walked into MITB but never has a champion walked into MITB and walked out with a title in one hand and the briefcase in the other, so my theory is that hes going for the big gold, and this time it wont be a screw up.

because as for his future i see him doing 2 things, first hel get drafted to ECW where he can join the ECW/Smackdown crew once again and help boost ECW again, then when the right time comes on Smackdown hes going to cash in MITB and become champ on smackdown where there SHOULD be (after the draft) guys like mysterio, the hardys, edge, kennedy, mvp, lower ranked guys who need the big time.

this was my opinion on what should have happened LAST year but it didnt and quite frankly, everything is set for it to happen THIS year.

theres a prediction which i dont think anybody should take lightly

My hope is that he wins MITB.

My thoughts are that he might not win MITB. But he may go on to fued with JBL and win IC title back. Or, he may get a push and go for better. I definatley see the WWE using him a lot. He is a big part of Raw. I mean, we may even see him get drafted back to ECW, challenge for world title. Or to SD and go for US title. His future is very very bright. And he will definatley be a champion of some sort in the future.

maybe a midcard role, maybe a run as us champion

he will wrestle one more month before he is released, then he will go to TNA where he will wrestle with Kaz or AJ Styles before he is released yet again

soon after he will be on the unemployment line where the only job he can get will be cleaning toilets

in the year 2035 he will die after getting hit by a bus, he will then be turned into dog food so he can actually do something worth while
