Why can't I answer this question?

Well it was 1 year ago, and you can not answer questions that are in voting or resolved. This one was in voting. A person can only vote for a best answer if it is in voting. If it is resolved( best answer is already chosen) you can only comment in the comment box. To comment go to a resolved question and below the best answer should be a few boxes. It should look like this:

Comment (0)

Save. Click comment and type, then submit. You only have a limited amount of letters for a comment though.

You can not comment if it is in voting. You can only answer open questions. Hope I helped!

Only OPEN questions can be answered. Once questions expire (after 4 days), they go to voting (if the asker did not choose a Best Answer) and can't be answered anymore. Once a Best Answer is chosen, the question is resolved and also can't be answered any more.

If you want, click the avatar or name of the asker. If they allow any type of personal contact, it will show on their profile there and you can send them the answer directly. If they don't, there really is nothing you can do.
