Tyler Hansbrough all the way!?

Why do people hate Hansbrough? I mean, he is one of the best college player to ever play the game. I don't know but scouts are saying his game wouldn't translate into the NBA. How come? He is even compared to Mark Madsen, only better. I don't get it. He achieved a lot of things, I wouldn't be surprised if they go all the way and I'm rooting for him. Correct me if I'm wrong but I heard he breaks a scoring record. He also has the most free throws made and that is a power forward right there! After watching last night, I must say I'm very impressed. He willed his team to victory. I must take my hats off to Virginia Tech's A.D. Vassallo, they almost upset the mighty UNC. I hope they will be considered in the tourney since they're fun to watch and just wouldn't give up. There coach is very passionate and I would love to watch them again in any elimination game! In my opinion, despite his limited 'potential' or 'upside' whatever they say, Hansbrough would be successful in the league since he is very efficient. In 34 minutes of action last night, He had 28pts, 8rebs, 2asts, 2stls, and 0 TO. In 9/17 FG and 10/10, perfect from the charity strip. Tyler Hansbrough is the man! He will be missed in UNC.

I saw a blog on this site that basically tried to answer your question, and it basically answered with that people hate Hansbrough because of all the media adulation he receives. I don't hate the guy. To the contrary, he stuck around for four years, plays hard, listens to his coach, and basically carries himself well (the incident with jumping in the pool from the second story notwithstanding). In other words, he does all the things that too many other players don't.

He's obviously an outstanding collegiate player, but it's difficult for me to imagine him starring in the NBA. Don't get me wrong, Hansbrough will play but won't play a major role. Decent bigmen are almost non- existent in the NCAA and it's easy for one who is anything more then decent to just dominate then college. But Hansbrough's lateral defense and overall athleticism just won't be enough at the next level. And he's not just going to out- will everyone because he'll be playing against pros night in and night out.

people hate tyler hansbrough because of the fact he's so dominant yet doesnt look to have extremely some expertise. thats why he's dominant in the college pastime yet probably wont be in the NBA. his NBA profession has no longer something to do with whether he's the participant of the 12 months. whether he does properly in the NBA or no longer, he nonetheless broke the carolina all time scoring checklist and is heading in the right direction to break the ACC all time scoring checklist. valuable blake griffin is going to be a great NBA participant, yet in terms of the college pastime hansbrough will out carry out him and out paintings him. And Hansbrough additionally proved he grew to become right into a greater useful participant than harangody till now this 12 months while UNC performed Notre Dame. i may be shocked if by utilizing the tip of the 12 months Hansbrough isn't by utilizing far the national participant of the 12 months.

  • Ok first of all he is 6'9 and that is undersized for a PF in the League. He is not athletic and not fast enough to play SF. He can dominate at times in college but in the NBA, bigs like DHoward and Shaq and Tim Duncan will destroy him. Look at JJ Redick: great college player but cant do sh*t in the NBA. Ditto for Adam Morrison. And im not just picking on white guys. Kevin Love did the same thing last year and right now he is not worthy of a lotto pick. Hansbrough will get drafted but he won become a "star" in the NBA. He be lucky to be considered even a role player.

It not hating on him he will have to play a different role in the NBA because of the speed of the game and the size of the players. That it. Nobody can ever question Tyler heart and passion he brings every game. He will truly be missed at UNC I wish him the best and I will support him as a fan in the NBA

This question is being asked too often. I wish Tyler the best. I hope the critics are wrong. I am also partial being from the Show Me State like Tyler.

Being good in College does not mean you will be good in the NBA. It is a totally different level.

  • Because..

UNC is a top school and always gets good recruits. Coach K has a great rep, so that leaves UNC for haters to feast on.

Not sensible, but hey, haters are haters.
