Mechanic Experts....................?

I just got a rebuilt engine put in my car and got a hose fixed, but the car shuts off and has a burning smell sometime, the mechanic said its because the engine got to run more(it has to get used to it) thats y it cuts off and the burning smell is from the engine coolant, any one knows if this is true or is there something else wrong wit it oh yea and plus coolant started to come out of a lose hose(i guess that hose is supposed to be lose)

I'd strongly recommend that you have another shop look at it Very Soon. Don't mention who worked on it until after they've given you an assessment of the resent work.

edit your question, you need more detail what kind of motor, car , carb or fuel injected and the year. always include that when askin a car question. no hose should be loose enough for any kind of fluid to leak from it.
