Why does living in the UK suck so bad?

Lived here all my life, always struggled, never any opportunity, taxes high, government sucks harder every time, universities sucked compared to when i was in the usa, weather is god awful, everything is in london and if you don't live there tough, getting a decent job is like finding the holy grail, fair play if you like it but who else out there has been miserable here?

    High Prices

    Low Temperatures

    High unemployment rate (especially now)

People tend to be less happy here, that other countries. but that could be due to them having sun etc...

Lots of knife crime, millions of overweight/obese people.. Loads of binge drinking etc

Not to mention the school system is stuck in the flawed. Punishments for free thinking, uniforms limit self-expression and all teachers have the same reasoning: "You need to know this for the TEST". Numbers and exams don't define us. They keep on saying TESTS are the most important thing because with that you can go to university and get a "proper" job. The only jobs they are preparing kids for (since they start aspiration day all the way from year 3!) is doctors, lawyers, teacher and some kind of Olympians.

They never explain that university is a waste of money unless you want to be a doctor/lawyer or anything that needs a degree (which most people drop out of), how to adopt or what to do if you WANT children, sexuality and the cruel truth of the world that is no matter what you do, you will most likely NEVER be remembered in history! A doctor? Never remembered. Lawyer? Never remembered. Any other job? NEVER REMEMBERED. Unless you do something like cure cancer or be the worst president in the world you won't be remembered in 100 years.

My parents always say how when they were children they would run in fields, climb in trees, the whole class would bunk school and trick the teachers. Now I see how depressing life is in England as you get treated as YEAR 7s and MILITARY soldiers. We are not year 7s, we are 11-12! We are still CHILDREN.

  • Reasons why UK - sucks

1 some places in Eastern Europe (where UK gets immigrants from) are richer than the UK.

2 USA- the USA is a FAR better country than the UK. it has it's flaws but it has better weather, nicer people, better countryside, better cities, better mountains, better coast.

    Altogether the UK downright sucks.

    USA no 1!

I have, I sure am familiar with this feeling. Many universities and schools here are awful, the climate is unpredictable and rarely decent, it's difficult to find some good work or not get taxed to death just fo working yourself like crazy for it. Once, my dad even was self employed and worked in a business and worked like crazy and so got a lot of money for himself. Then the tax man came and asked him questions because he thought it was impossible for dad not to illegally employ someone. Then he found no evidence to suggest he did because he didn't, and then he taxed us £180, 000 for the heck of it. He was just annoyed he couldn't get it by counting it as employee tax.

I hate this place for how greedy people in charge are and I hate the way people here usually act, everyone is in a rush with the simple vision that 'time is money.'

But then I get over it. No country or nation is a saint. I could think of plenty that I'd adapt to living in worse then I do here. It's not so bad is all I need and I'm over it, once you remember what to appreciate it's fine again...but I still can't wait until a few years time when I try to leave it for Australia! Still, not a bad place though.

You want to know why it sucks? The government couldn't give a toss about the people here. The country is crowded with chavs and on the topic of those inbreds, the government are so lenient for them as opposed to those who want to live a life of peace and happiness. Short answer, your government is basically wanting you dead.

Living in the UK is bad because you always lust for more, we live in a country where we aim for quantity not quality, hence we're below average on the happiness list for the world. Whereas in third world countries they put up with what they have and probably smile so much more than we do

I immigrated and ended up with Diversity I bought a DIVE in a big CITY. Does it matter A Slum, the true way out is not to breed....

  • Add to that list - incredibly expensive property prices (even now with the so called crash, it's still extortionate) and just the fact that things are generally expensive doesn't help when allied to a lack of an outdoor culture. To above and below: you're comparing the UK to third world/developing countries there, our comparisons are made with developed countries.
