ipod headphone jack broken?

just wondering if anyone else has this problem where you can only hear out of one ear. Now the next question did you fix it and where did you buy your parts. I have seen some places on ebay selling the headphone jack/ hold switch for a dollar plus shipping

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item...

just wondering if anybody has used this before and if it worked good

Update:

I know it is the jack because i've tried multiple head phones with it and they all do the same thing

Sure it isnt a problem with the headphones?

If they've been trapped anywhere/are split, it'll cause problems.

Try changing headphones before messing with the ipod itself

yes i can only hear out of the left one. and i didnt fix it, but i plan on getting new, NON-APPLE, headphones. basically, any other headphone brand is better than apple
