ipod headphone jack broken?
just wondering if anyone else has this problem where you can only hear out of one ear. Now the next question did you fix it and where did you buy your parts. I have seen some places on ebay selling the headphone jack/ hold switch for a dollar plus shipping

I know it is the jack because i've tried multiple head phones with it and they all do the same thing

yeah i have the 80gb ipod and i used that exact one and it worked! go for it thats a pretty good price too.

yes i had the same problem i could not fix them so i just purchased some new ones from the apple store for about 30 dallors.. & + tax.. then they broke aqain lol and i purchased some new ones again.. i like the apple headphones because you get good quality sound..

Sure it isnt a problem with the headphones?
If they've been trapped anywhere/are split, it'll cause problems.
Try changing headphones before messing with the ipod itself

that happened to me and i couldnt figure out what was wrong so i went and asked my brother (hes a computer nerd..haha) he looked at me like i was stupid because i didnt have the headphones plugged into my ipod all the way! im guessing thats not what happened to you but in case it is i hope i helped!

yes i can only hear out of the left one. and i didnt fix it, but i plan on getting new, NON-APPLE, headphones. basically, any other headphone brand is better than apple

My friend had that problem but her ipod was still under warranty so she sent it in.
