Best hotel near Fort Riley, Kansas?

I will be visiting a friend in July who is coming back to the states from her GS Civilian job in Korea for class at Fort Riley. She doesn't know what hotel they will have her staying in but I would like to kind of get a feel of the best places to stay when I visit. Would it be Manhattan, KS or Junction City, KS?

Manhattan has a lot of hotels, and they are adding more. Junction City has several as well.

Both cities have large-name hotels. Manhattan has a Best Western, Hampton Inn, etc. I'm not sure about the Holiday Inn...they had a Holidome that closed down, but I think there are a couple more. There's a Super 8 (I wouldn't go there, though), a Motel 6, etc.

The Holidome became a Clarion that I have never personally visited, but I have heard some great things.

DO NOT stay in Junction City. Manhattan, KS is a little further but much nicer, there should be nice hotels there. I was stationed in Ft. Riley-Junction City is a toilet!
