2x2GB or 4x1GB Memory?

Hey, I'm buying some memory, and my system supports up to 4gb max in pairs only. I decided to max it out, and I was wondering which set to get, the 2x2GB and 4x1GB. There's only a two dollar difference, and the 2x2GB set has a heat spreader while the other set doesn't say. Keep in mind I can only install memory in pairs. which set should I buy?

I would suggest you need to find out what the max support for each of your memory slots is. It may be that your motherboard only supports up to 1gb per slot. With the make and model of your computer I can tell you or go to this site and it will tell you.

2x2gb set as there is a heat spreader which can reduce overheating and as it will be a newer chip due to it having a higher capacity the chances are that it will have better specs all round

2x2gb is better because you put less stress on the NB.
